Free school websites

Building on EduPay’s mission to support schools we are pleased to offer a free school website production and hosting service as part of the EduPay system for generating income for schools.

Our websites are very user friendly and come complete with a simple-to-use Content Management System (CMS). Features of our school websites include a news section, events page, picture gallery and a number of other pages describing aspects of the school, policies, clubs and staffing information etc. Websites will be constructed using a colour scheme of your choice (usually your school colours). Pictures, logos and text can be added via the CMS. The CMS also shows you statistical data so you can see how many visitors your website is attracting.

To further promote your school and activities, information from your news and events sections are automatically uploaded to the master EduPay website (www.edupay.co.uk). EduPay will be developing further features for our school websites in the future. Your school website will be maintained free of charge and a technician will be available should the need arise.

Our websites are all built using our own software and can be expanded easily to encompass further features.*

Private schools operating as charities

Free school websites may be particularly useful for schools which operate as charities. Funds raised by EduPay through the free school website may be used to subsidise pupils' families who would otherwise be unable to afford placings or paid activities within the school.

Special needs schools

It is essential for special needs schools to gain extra funding to maintain and improve facilities. EduPay free websites can facilitate this requirement by generating income for those who really need it.

All schools

As well as charitable educational establishments we are rolling our free website service out to all types of schools, colleges and educational institututions. Funds raised may be used for school improvements or to help subsidise school trips and uniforms.

Added benefits

As part of the free school website package we will also provide a direct link from your home page to your dedicated school page on the EduPay directory. This will enable you to participate in the Edupay scheme, which will provide financial support for your school. Full details of the benefits are provided in the attached pack or by reference to our website www.edupay.co.uk

There will be an unobtrusive link from the footer of each of the pages on your website to the EduPay website. For example there will be a link from your events page to the main events page on the EduPay website. This will help gain greater interest in your school events which is especially useful if your event is fund raising.

To maximise benefits to the school

As part of the letter to parents informing them of the new school website we would provide information regarding the link with EduPay and benefits we provide.

We would also look to work with your appointed PTA (parents teachers association) to maximise the income generated for your school. An introduction would help to facilitate this.

You will also be asked to register your website to a number of website directories and school related websites. This will promote your website further to make more people aware of how they can help your school financially.

* There may be a small charge attached to custom work, however this can be paid out of money generated for your school by EduPay.
